You're probably wondering, "What the heck is a Beta Test when it comes to a MAME cabinet???" Well it turns out that we were having a pool party, and the cabinet was in a presentable condition. (BOY do I wish it were actually done, but oh' well) So, I put some temporary brackets on the control panel, put a 17" monitor in, put in an old P166, and fired it up. Let me tell you, even though you had to use a keyboard, it was prettly cool. What better way to see if it works than at a party!
Needless to say, the party was great, and the MAME machine was a hit. After the initial shock, I started getting comments like, "I always liked that game _ _ _ _ _" And much to their surprise I would respond with, "Do you mean THIS game?" (hehehe) What a hoot!
