Intro to Our Home Theater Construction

I have always loved the movies. I grew up during the original Star Wars Trilogy days. The story totally captured my imagination, and ultimately lead me towards interest in film making, and post production. I really enjoy the expierence of a well-made movie... and what better way to expierence them, than in your own home theater. :)

5/6/2003: And so the project begins: After a little bit of measuring, talking with neighbors, planning, and some simple work with a 3D Home Architect program, we've come up with some basic plans. I've added a new section for "Before Pictures" and for "Plans" for you to check out.

5/1/2003: Sharon and I have talked about it, and it seems that although we have some very nice equipment in our home theater setup, the acoustics and layout of our family room is keeping our system from sounding its absolute best. So the decision was made: we need to build a dedicated Home Theater room.
