Jedi Costume - Robe

Here is a closeup of the fabric that I found for the robe. I did not want material that looked like flimsy Halloween costume material. I found a very nice fabric (unfortunately very heavy too) at Joann Etc for $3.99/yd on sale. The inner texture is very soft, almost like a flannel. The outer texture reminds me of the material in Anakin's sleeveless robe as seen in Episode II.

In order to make the robe correctly, I needed 2x 4yd pieces. This way, there would be no seam on the shoulder, and instead there would be just one seam up the back. There are only 4 Joann Etc. stores in the Phoenix Metro area, and I ended up visiting 3 in order to find the fabric in the lengths I needed.
