Jedi Costume Project - Intro

Intro | Inner Tunic | Outer Tunic | Tabbard and Obi | Belt | Robe

12/10/2002

I bought some more..."stuff" for the belt, and attached the buckles.

12/5/2002

I worked in the leather belt material to make it more pliable and stained it. See the current progress on the Belt page.

I completed attaching the tabbbard to obi and the tunic. This will help keep everything together so that I won't have to "adjust" anything, even after moving around quite alot. To the right is the current overall picture.

I LOVE long weekends. I was able to make a lot of progress. I found the additional yardage needed to make the Robe correctly. I also found a temporary leather belt.

11/24/2002

I went to a local JoAnn Etc store and found some great material. It was on sale for only $.99 a yard. Considering my current track record, perhaps fabric at this cost is not such a bad idea.

The project begins. I shopped around a little bit looking for the right fabric. After not finding exactly what I was looking for, I settled on a dark-brown wool-like fabric for the outer tunic. Unfortunately, this first experiment would have been perfect if I were about 75 pounds lighter. Oh well.. strike one.
